Carved leather painting made on a "sheet" of vegetable tanned cowhide 5mm thick, medieval wall hanging, like a tapestry ... 

Full-length representation of the famous royal mistress Agnès Sorel (1422-1450) whose marble recumbent sits  in the Collegiate Church of St Ours in the splendid royal city of Loches (in the Loire Valley!)... 

Jean Fouquet immortalized her twice, through her eponymous portrait, of which I am using the famous finery, and through the "virgin of Melun" where the angels pull the beauty between hell and paradise in a colorful dualit ... 

The lambs at the feet of her recumbent effigy, transformed after restoration into horned rams, find their place here against his breast, at her side ... 

Back covered with golden leaf, patinated, aged by chemical reaction ... 

Dyed with special leather products, and pigments, shiny varnish ... 

Flamboyant gothic medieval spirit ...

Stretched by scalloped black leather tabs, stiffened ...
